Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig (Bonn, Germany) joins the EJT consortium
The EJT consortium proudly welcomes the Zoologische Forschungsmuseum Alexander Koenig (ZFMK, Bonn, Germany) as its newest member. This happy event adds Germany to the ever-growing team of countries that support the European Journal of Taxonomy, which now consists of 9 institutes from 6 European countries.
Director Wolfgang Wägele signed the co-publishing agreement of the consortium at the EJT Steering Committee Meeting in London on April 24th, a day before the start of the 48th CETAF meeting. The ZFMK application to join the EJT consortium was unanimously accepted by the other consortium members at this meeting and the president of the SC meeting, Prof Henrik Enghoff, welcomed the new member on behalf of the entire steering committee.
The Zoologische Forschungsmuseum Alexander Koenig is a member of the Leibniz Association, and as such represents a large and influential scientific organisation in the EJT consortium. The ZFMK itself is one of the largest natural-history-research museums in Germany. The museum has earned its reputation as a leader in the documentation, research, and interpretation of biodiversity.
The European Journal of Taxonomy is endorsed by CETAF and CETAF members can at all times apply for membership to the EJT consortium.
