Frederik Leliaert is the new botany editor of EJT

Frederik is scientific director at the Botanic Garden Meise and a visiting professor at Ghent University (Belgium).  Frederik is our new Topical editor for Botany and will handle botanical manuscripts (in the widest sense) as from March 2017.

Frederik studies taxonomy and phylogeny of green algae (Chlorophyta) and strongly promotes integrative taxonomy, using both morphological and molecular data. He has published numerous papers in his research field, and has extensive experience as editor of various phycological journals. His field research drove him to various places in Africa and South East Asia. Since 2016, he works at the Botanic Garden Meise (Belgium), one of the founding members of EJT.
